Hi,
Is there away in MS Access to resize the photo, after using the FileCopy?

Is there any possibility to, at the moment you Save the photo, you state or (a) target size or (b) target weight and the picture is automatically reduced to the target?

Not that I am aware of. Remember Access is a DATA based program

Thnx for replying,
It is possible to get just the Height and Width of the Image?

To get the height and width of an image, from an image control you can reference the ImageHeight & ImageWidth properties using this syntax:

Code:
Me.imgControl.ImageHeight
Me.imgControl.ImageWidth

however, these properties are read-only, and return a value in the measurement of Twips.

You can then convert twips to pixels to get the standard unit measurement for images.

Not sure what you are after, but ssteinke's reply gives you the size of the image control placed on your form, not the actual size of the image.

The problem is that the pixels of the image are in the EXTENDED file attributes, not the standard ones. I think unless you have a reader program that will allow you to open a picture as an application object, you cannot get to those attributes. Unfortunately, my version of Access doesn't seem to have that ability so I can't test it.

I disagree with Oldsoftboss, I have done a bit of testing using the ImageHeight & ImageWidth Properties.... converting the twips to pixels WILL give you the actual image size, NOT the size of the control.

For example, when I place a 16 x 16 pixel image in a 800 x 600 control, the resulting Twip conversion will give the 16 x 16 result.

I posted a quick modified example at the bottom of this thread.
