conditional format

hi , i have put a conditional format on the field "ordered" to highlight it when the field say " waiting to order "
see below . what i dont understand why it dont turn yellow until i select that field on the report

this time my cursor is on the field before it turned yellow

I think it's to do with the fact you are in a report.
Try looking at in print preview if you aren't?

Make sure the box property COLOR TYPE is not TRANSPARENT.
set normal.
