Conditional Formating

I have a report with multiple fields and currently have two conditional formats affecting this report.

CF1: Expression is [Covered By]="open open" - Highlights associated records yellow.

CF2: Expression is [Status]="canceled" - Highlights associated records red

I came across a situation that I just realized yesterday. I have a record that is both covered by "open open" and later canceled.

What I would like to do is add a third CF that says if any records have both "open open" and canceled as in this case to be highlighted red. The fact the record is canceled is more important than the coverage being "open open".

Its currently defaulting to a yellow highlight as I presume the "open open" is CF1 and ignoring the CF2 criteria.

PS: I am using these CF's in both fields and forms, so hopefully any resolutions will work in both sections.

Any takers/recommendations.

Try making the new condition the first one.

That's the issue, how do I make a condition that applies to two separate fields.

I presume I need to apply an if/and statement; however I'm sure I'm not doing it right.

giving it a shot here is what I came up with.

iif([Covered By]="open open" and([Status]="canceled"

No IIf() needed, just join the two conditions with And.

It appears as though I was overthinking that, I just switched the CF's that I was already using and made the "canceled" CF priority and it did exactly what I was needing. Thanks for the answer. :)

Sometime I make even the simplest things harder than they need to be.
