Conflicted Copies

Hi all, hope to find some help and i am posting in the right place!!

I created a very simple "booking sheet" that is accessed by 7 people. Very basic; name, date, number of people, comments, charge, paid. There is a limit to the number of people who can book to come on that day.

I created a number of buttons to view a specific date, view tomorrow, view today, print todays bookings, search name etc.

However, only one person can view at a time without a conflicted copy being created - even if they just want to check availability, not make a booking. I added features such as, it closes automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity to stop people leaving it open accidentally and time last updated to help fix conflicted copies.

The access file is saved in dropbox.

Any suggestions on how to reduce conflicted copies?

Don't use dropbox. Multiple simultaneous users database should be split design. Each user should run their own copy of frontend. Backend should be on a file server.

dropbbox or onedrive is not a good place to share the db.
