There is absolutely no logic to that and the people found someone to blame which was the illuminati, just like everyone blamed the jews for the "Bubonic Plague (Black death)". They are not trying to take over the world it is a stupid rumour.

Scott is indeed a nice person and no doubt you too are a good person, But there has been too much shady things going on in the world for a hidden power to not exist.

A lot of people i have spoken to do indeed agree on a hidden power but they don't believe in the illuminati. Which isn't a bad opinion - i do believe there is a hidden power and to give this power a name, it would not be a bad idea to go back in time and name it the Illuminati since they were found out quite a while back and apparently "died off", Bavarian Illuminati founded by Adam Weishaupt (1748–1830).
