Hi all,

I have a continuous subform which shows a record of transactions related to a chargeback in a database I am building.

It's working perfectly aside from one thing. The top and left side of one of the fields in the transaction list will always reveal about 2px of the background color. If I click in the field and back out again, it displays the (correct) white back color. This is kind of hard to explain, so I took a screenie before and after clicking in and out of the field:

Before:
trnsListErr_01.gif

After:
trnsListErr_02.gif

I know this is a small problem but it's very irritating! Thanks for any help :)

Is your date field in the subform receiving the focus? That might expain why the first record in the subform "looks" a little different until you move the focus away. Try setting the focus to another object with an event (OnOpen).

I suspected that was the case, but the first control on my parent form always got focus first. After your post I hunted around a little more and apparantly each field maintains their own focus even if the focus is set to a parent form.

Since I can't set focus to a hidden field, I created a textbox with 0 height and width and move the focus to that control in the onLoad event as you suggested. It works just fine, thanks for the help ghudson!

AFAIK there is no way to completely remove focus from all fields, do you know if this is true?
