Continuous Forms data checks

Hi. I have a continuous form showing, amongst other things three check boxes. The form is fed by a query with criteria that requires that one of these check boxes is ticked.
When an operator uses the form (adds or modifies data) they could leave the form without checking one of the boxes resulting in the entry disappearing from the form.
The check boxes (denoting Morning, Afternoon or 'out of hours' managers) are used in another form to order data and conditional formatting.

Though I would probably use a single field with a code for each possibility.
