Hi there!

I am working on a tabular form where I need to both display and edit the records. for some of the columns I use cbo:s to list the options from which the value has once been selected. while the text fields work ok the combobox columns only show the value of the first record. How do I solve that?

this is what it looks like:

Name Organization Role(cbo)
Stan Tokyo Cbs
John Brazil
Anna Paris

the role cbo lists 5 options from table roles, with Cbs being the second and correctly displayed one for "Stans" record. I can pick a new role for any record, but I still need the other record Roles to show aswell....

I am desperate for help, even the slightest hint of a solution would be very warm welcomed,

Thanks Pat, it did the trick!

p.s.
I deleted the message since I had trouble editing the missleading title. Eventhough I changed it the old one showed in the "forms" thread list.
again, thank you m8, this gives me a glimmer of hope to finish in time,

regards, Insomnia

hmmm, the values still shows :) , but unfortunatly so does the pop up message "The values you entered isn't valid for this field" aswell. field size was the same in both tables.

I've changed the look up for the field in table from which the records where selected, so that it looks up these roles instantly, are there any down sides or problems when working in VB with tables containing cbo fields?

And could I just as well use Datasheets for editing/adding records as in the example above?

thank you for your time,
