Convert Database

I am running Access 2002 (Office XP Pro) at home. I want to convert my Database to Access 2000 as my brother has this version and will be the primary user of the DB. With his current version he has complained of his system locking up and not retaining data? However the option to convert to 2000 is greyed out?

I have Access 2003 at work. This allows conversion to 97 / 2000 + 2002/2003
My XP Version only allows conversion to 97 + 2002 (as stated 2000 is greyed out)?

Is there a Microsoft reason for this?

The version that the database is already in will be greyed out since you can not convert it to the version it already is. Access 2000 is one of the versions that a lot of folks have complained about [so I have read]. Does your code compile? Is he missing any references when he opens your converted db on his computer? What if you convert it to 97?

Thanks Mr H. I will convert to 97 and see if the problems persist. As far as I am aware his set up is OK?
