Hi, I have a few Access 2003 databases and I need to open them on my computer which has Access 2000 on it. Can anyone please tell me how to convert it so it is compatible? I have looked into "databse utilities" "convert to" etc but can't figure it out.

just that

convert to 2000 format - you will be asked to enter a savename for the dbs which has to be different. eg "mydatabase2000"

it will save the dbs on disk in the converted format, and then restart the 2003format database.

then you can do what you need with the converted copy.

As gemma says, dont forget you must do this on the Access 2003 software before you can use it at home.

Thanks

Dan

Thanks. problem being that I do not have Access 2003, I only have been sent databases that were created in 2003 and I only have 200. Can this not be performed??

you need to get the people who sent you the dbs's to save them in A2000 format
