I am creating a new data base in access 2007, just getting finished. I want to maybe coordinate that and use for antoehr company we have , but would need to convert it to access 2003 format. The program says you can do this, but when i try i get an error that its opened by another user [user being me]- i have opened exclusive, just opened, and read only just for kicks, and get that error every time. Any ideas? I could convert all the machines, but would rather not. Also with that company have some issues with my hosting company and displaying data.. they only work in access 2003 format. I thought i would throw this out there, since i have had great luck on this forum so far. Thanks!

Pam,
Are you using the SaveAs process? Did you try opening the file while holding down a <SHIFT> key?

I am not asking if things work ... I am asking if your code actually COMPILES with out error ...

In the VBA editor ... follow the menu path: Debug > Compile ... if you get errors, correct them, them try to convert your db.
