Copying a report for use with another query

I have an existing report. I want to use it with a different query. (basically the same query as the original, just renamed fields) I copied the report and renamed it something else. I went into the properties for each field and changed the control source so it uses the correct query and field name. However, when I run the report I get the error message that the old field name is not found. Actually the message is "The Microsoft Access database engine does not recognize "Creator" as a valid field name or expression". "Creator" being an old field name. Even though I have edited everything and the green triangle icon is gone from each field in the report, in Design View, I continue to get this error as if I missed something and yet I cannot find it. The reason I am doing this is so I don't have to recreate the entire report and all the formatting. Any suggestions? TIA.

One place it can hide is in Sorting and Grouping.

Yep, checked that too. Could not find it. Finally gave up and recreated the whole thing. NOT a fan of 2010.

If you have need of trying to copy a report in the future, Galaxiom mentions a free program called V-Tools which has a Find And Replace facilty that may be able to find the old field names. I haven't tried it yet as I already have a different program that I've been using, mentioned in that post as well. Here is the link to the post.

Good to know. I am sure this issue will come up again as I seem to repurpose rather than recreate. I will try it then. Thanks!

One other place the field might be lurking is in Conditional Formatting.
