I'm not sure if I'm going about this correctly. I have a linked table to Lotus notes that I cannot change at all, but for whatever reasons not all the columns are named right. So I copy that table over and have the columns renamed. ( I probably could rename them in a query, but sometimes when I run other stuff from the linked table it crashes access 2007). Now my management wants columns that do not exist in the lotus notes table that cannot be calculated.

I created a project vs breakfix column in a new copy of the table. My problem is that I need to keep appending to that table without writing over the work I previously did, and having duplicate records. I'm not sure the best way to do this is. Or if there is a better way around my problem. :banghead:

Thanks for any help.

Do you mean your new table is not integrated to the same lotus notes file?
