Corrupting a database

Does anyone know how to corrupt a database. I would like to purpose corrupt a database for testing and then recover it. This is just for practice using the different tools to see which one works best.

Any ideas, let me know.

Try running a big update query and then turn the power off to your PC while the update is running.

MS Compact Jet Utility

Do you know a way that I can have the jet utility automatically run nightly a compact on the db and then rename the old db and rename the new compacted db to the name of the original db?

I do not think that the Jet Utility can be run from a command line.

There is an old freeware utility "HAL" that will do what you are looking for.
