Count problem

Hi everyone. I have to run a query which takes data from two related tables...Here's the situation: the first table among others has a field named Code. The second one has (also among others) a field named tags. Many tags belong to a certain code. The problem is when I need to find how many tags are there in a certain code I can't get the right results using count (it always displays 1) or using the distinct command (again displays all the time 1)

I'm not sure If you got the picture....

Any clues?

P.S. I forgot to mention....Already under tags I have put some criteria in order to filter many records
