Hello

I am desperatly trying to create a 30 days trial version with MDT-2000 (Installer for Access 2000 databases).

I am somehow unable to find out how this can be done.

Can anyone tell me how I can do that?

Thanks for your comments.

Stefan

Not to sure what MDT - 2000 is.
But here is a sample DB with a 30 day expiry that I use

Hi Oldsoftboss

Thank you very much for this sample database. I will use this sample if MDT-2000 will not solve my problem.

For your information: MDT-2000 is an installer software for MS Access 2000 applications. It has certain security features included. I think it should be possible to add a trial version status with this software.

I would still be happy if anyone else knows how to create 30 days trial versions with MDT-2000.

Stefan.

Hello Oldsoftboss

your sample works nicely.

One question. If a user sets the computer date back, would the code be useless in such a situation?

Stefan.

That's right, but I work on the theory that the user will get sick of doing that, or forget.

I'm sure you could manipluate the code to look a a field in a hidden table that would count how many times the program has been opened, and each time add one to it. Thus once the trial openings has been reached, the registration screen would pop up, or the program close.

Something like this perhaps:)
