Create report summary

I have a report which details employee activities. Employees enter the jobs that they have completed throughout the day then a report is run by the manager in the evening. The current report shows a list of jobs completed by each employee's name. I also want to include a summary at the bottom of the report that shows a total for each job by employee. An example is shown below

Joe Blogs -Made Coffee x6
Made Toast x4
Washed Plates x8

Should i be using the DCOUNT function or is there an easier way with =sum ? I have tried both ways but i can't seem to get it to work ???
 
The Sum function should work just fine for you. Just make sure you are doing it in the report footer, not the page footer.

=Sum([FieldYouWantToSum])
