The conventional wisdom is that a saved query gets compiled, and therefore runs more efficiently. Whether you'd see the difference, particularly in this situation, is doubtful. It's probably easier to maintain as a saved query, plus you can use it elsewhere if desired, so I'd probably leave it that way.
