Cross Tab on Select Query

Can you base a cross-tab query on a select query that requires a parameter?

I ask this because I have tried but so far it has failed; raising an error related to the [forms]![formname]![field] statement used in the select query.

I know the select query does work and does what I need it to so the error is not there.

Thanks for this: is exactly the issue and now have resolved it.

However, I now find that I cannot use the cross-tab in a form and of course even if I could I would need the form to be dynamic since the dataset would change depending upon the choices made.

I have to think another way. Oh well; one step forward two steps back!
