I have a query that has the following data.
Project,Title,Value.
I have used the crosstable function to layout the info, but what I want it to do is add up all the values that have the same titles (i.e. hg, nonhg)
so my crosstable looks like this
Project hg non hg other
10 20 300
12 33 44
44 200 400 22

How do I make it add up the HG section = 253! and the other sections. Thanks

what I am trying to do is create a three part KPI database,
with the top section having various aspects from part2, and part 2 getting all the data from part1.

So..example.
level 1 (top)
title plan forecast actul
pens 10 30 20
books 20 40 50

level 2
title plan forecast actul
bluepens 4 10 10
redpens 6 20 10

etc.

level 3
title plan forecast actual
John-bluepens 8 3 5
John-Redpens 3 8 3
Karen-bluepens 2 4 2

etc..

any help apprecaited.

thanks. I have nearly managed to do what I haev said above, the prob I have now is that I have two querys, and I wanted to deduct one value from the other, but its not doing it correctly,

Query no1, has 3 headings in it whcih are the totals of a group of items that relate to each heading
Query No2, has all the units used, including the above headings,

so Q1-Q2 should give me my answer but as Q2 has a few more items that are not in Q1 I dont get the correct output.

As for reports, Yes I was going to use it, but the ideal situation is to haev an interactive chart like those created in the `page` sections, so other users could drill down the results. I am trying to create a KPI database to monitor multipul inputs that have a wide varierty of final outputs, that other users can look at, in a nice webbased table.

I have attached my DB, its very very rough, but the main areas are:-
project details
and newoutput

the two queires are:- _with_gs and expeced outputs

:)

thanks
