Hello,
I have a customer information form that has a last updated field. Currently our data entry person has to manually update this field any time the form is changed but I would like to find a way to automate this so that upon editing any fields in the form (or subform), the field (last updated) automatically enters todays date. Thanks in advance for your help and insight!I'm sure that there is probably a very easy way to do this that I'm overlooking. Thanks

Hi Jack,
Thanks for the help. What is the advantage of doing it this way verses changing the form properties upon edit to run a macro that updates the date field to current date. I haven't tried this yet but is it still better to do it the way you mentioned. I was eventually going to do something with an audit trail to see who edited what information for security but I'm still in the early stages of design for this database. Thanks again for the help!

I guess it is a matter of choice. Since you have to do some code anyway why not do the whole nine yards first time out and then you are done. No need to go back and do it again later. Just my opinion and you should do what will work best for you.....

Good luck!
