Hello,

I am using Access 2003 and would like to design a field format (color, length...) and copy that design so that every time I lay a new field on the form it looks like the one I first designed. Kind of like "AutoFormat" but with my design.

I have done this before, but just can't remember how.

Thank you

I don't know about fields but you can set *control* defaults for a form. Add the control to a form and change all of the properties to the way you want them. Then while the control is selected go to Format>Set Control Defaults

That's it!

Different method (much quicker) than I have done, but that's it!

Thank you

Oh, one last question on this.

The label comes out only as wide as the text in it. Is there a way to have the label come out the same width as the field?

I don't know but I would doubt it.

That's okay, no big deal.

Thanks again for the help!
