I'm about to jump up to Access 2007, mainly because of the Data Collection feature. My database sends out emails to our suppliers requesting the shipment of various items. I want to use data collection so that they can reply with delivery dates, etc...
However, I read that the Data Collection can not be initiated programatically, but only through the wizard. If this is true it would ruin my entire plan, because I don't want my user to have to run the wizard each time there is a new order.
Is there any possible way to do this?
For example, will I be able to create the wizard and save its results as a 'template' - then programatically execute the template with live data from VBA?
Thanks!
Evan
