Data Entery when form in Data view

I have created a sub form that is displayed in data view. I have combo boxes and free text fields. I can enterd data like the data and save. I am unable to use the drop downs menus created from my combo box. Why is this and how can I fix it?

I have difficulties understanding what you write, so here is a wild stab in the dark: you have put some controls on the header/footer of your subform, and when the subform is shown on your form in the form view, you do not see those controls? That is normal for a subform displayed in Datasheet View - the header/footer are nto displayed. Either choose another display for the subform, or put those controls on the main form.
