hello...i am new in using access..and my problem was... i made a calculation (multiplication of 2 value,,"QUANTITY*PRICE=AMOUNT) in a FORM and it works, it does display value in "amount",,,but it doesn't display the said value ("amount") in the table...which is necessary in my report...don't have a value in "amount" field in my table.
help me..tnks in advance..

faz, I would suggest you not store the value but rather calculate it on the fly whenever you need it. This is a pretty common practice as it helps insure data integrity...

thanks for the reply.. i really appreciate it KEN..
is it not possible that the value i get from the FORM which is the calculation of "QUANTITY*PRICE=AMOUNT can be also store in the "AMOUNT" field in the TABLE???..because i get the value of QUANTITY and PRICE from the FORM to my TABLE but not the AMOUNT..huh!!!
can i also make a calculation in a fields/TABLE?? just asking..

You should make the calculation in a query, and base your report on that, or carry out the calculation in the report. You can store calculated data like this but it is bad design. You can't do a caculation in a table, it has to be in a query, a form or report.
