Solved Data import into lookup field (1 Viewer)

I am creating a database in which there are two tables (see screenshot).

The field dso_dam_no_name in tb_registered_dams_inspections is a lookup field in tb_registered_dams. Tee link works fine and i can lookup values successfully. However, there are about 5500 records of whcih the data is saved in Excel spreadsheets. I can import the data into tb_registered_dams successfully but cannot import the data into tb_registered_dams_inspections. When i do the import the field dso_dam_no_name remains blank. How can i import data into the lookup field?

OK. Problem seems to be solved. I could select the whole column in tb_registered_dams and paste it in tb_registered_dams_inspections.

Do NOT use table lookup fields.
