Data Only Prints Half Page

I slowly modified a Report (from Landscape to Portrait) periodically printing to see if I liked the report. When I was finished editing the design view of the report it would only print data to fill the first 7 1/2 inches from the top. The remainder of the page is blank.

There is a multi inch gap between my Page Footer and the Report Footer (in design view); however, if I move the Report Footer, it creates additional pages with additional data not selected, and STILL only prints a partial page.

I am sooooo clueless. I welcome any and all suggestions and comments.

Thank you,

Try File>>Page Setup and set margins to 0. MS adjusts them to the minimum margin allowed. It often allows you to add more info on the report. I find that the margins can take up alot of space.

This is just a thought...

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it, although it moved the data slightly to the left it did not have any affect on the length. ARgh!!

This is a little hard to explain in words. Reports are divided into sections of information often referred to as "bands". Those sections surround the detail band as if they were open and close parentheses. Access shows a labeled line between each band that identifies the band that follows. Make sure that you have no (or minimal) space between the lowest control in a section and the band line that identifies the start of the next section. To reduce the amount of empty space at the end of a section, click and drag the dividing line up.

My report with half pages blank is 14 pages long. Yes, there is a couple of inches of blank space between the footer information and the next band labeled "Report"; however, if I drag the band to eliminate the blank space it results in adding information not filtered and increases the total report by 100s.
