Data Range Form Help

I have a very standard database and want to make a report that shows certain records from a perticular month or time frame.

I loaded up the demo "Time and Billing" from Access XP and in there is an example of exactly what Im looking for. Its the "Report Data Range Form" to preview a report.

I want to enter in say a range of two dates to reflect the report.

Basically how do I start to build this? It seems like it shouldnt be that hard.

Hmm...I'm hoping this is as simple as it sounds!!

I would make a query of all of the fields that you need to present in your report. Hopefully you have a Date field already.

In the criteria of the [date] field type this:

Between [Enter a Beginning Date: ] And [Enter and Ending Date: ]

That line will prompt the user to enter the date range that he/she would like to include in the report!

Simple as that!!

I got it to work, but it doesnt look like the example.

I get the message for parameter 1 and then parameter 2. After I enter that I receive the report fine, but how do I make the pop up window to enter in the information to then preview the report?
