data to show in printpreview but not printed out

Hi there,

Is there a way to show a record during print preview but not actually printed out?

For example, "ABC" can be seen when I preview it for printing but "ABC" is not printed out on the paper.

Hi, I have always found the purpose of the 'print preview' tool is to show exactly whats going to be sent to the printer.

If you want to stop something from printing out, have you looked at options such as changing the font colour so its invisible, or hiding the cells. But it will be invisible on the print preview as well as the printout.

Can you explain what it is you are trying to accomplish?

Print Preview will ALWAYS show what will be printed (absent exploiting a bug).

Excel 2007 offers a new view "Page View" which may what you need, although I too find myself curious as to your usage.
