Data Type Mismatch In Criteria Expression

I am getting a data type mismatch error when attempting to open a report. The query the report is based on opens fine, but when I try to open the report is get this error. I have tried deleting controls on the report to determine which control is causing this. Can anyone help me with this please?

This post explains my problem, but there were no replies. How can I troubleshoot my report to tell me where the data mismatch is.

have you tried creating the report one control at a time? Are you doing anything special with any of the controls? like special formatting?
Are any of the numeric fields receiving bad data?

Thanks for responding. I tracked it down to one field by deleting controls.It turned out to be some missing data which created a null value in one field. Very frustrating but what relief when you fix it...
