By any chance do any of you know how to get rid of the ACCESS window and tool bars'which the DB apps run in.? i.e. WHen I run the program I dont want it to look like its 'in Access'

In Tools --> Startup there are all the options you want. If you accidentally hose yourself by removing a toolbar you need in order to continue developing your databse, hold shift while opening the db to bypass the startup settings.

Then why make it in Access?
