Question database has encountered a problem and needs to close

I've suddenly (today) started getting a message in access saying that the database has encountered a problem and needs to close and it gives me the option of sending M$ an error report or not.

It also has the checkbox to repair, backup and restart it.

Yesterday it was working fine, today when I'm trying to enter my data via my forms, this keeps happening.

In your experience, what sort of things make this happen?

I've currently got about 200 entries in my db, on clicking add client or add agent or site details, I get the db to open new forms for data entry but on closing them or just clicking the button to open them in the first place causes this error to occur.

It sounds as if you may have had some corruption. If "Compact and repair" does not resolve the issue then create a new blank DB and copy each item across and see if that helps.

Thanks Rabbie, I might just have to do that because compact and repair didn't work. I've split it to see if that works also.

Update: yep I copied everything over to a brand new blank db and now it's fine. It's such a random odd thing to happen and makes no sense at all. Oh well.
