Database is read only

The database I am working with suddenly says that is ready only, and I cannot make changes! How can I make it not read only?

Try to shut down your computer, also check in the Path finder if the file attribute isn't "Read only"!
Else explain exactly how far you get and what you are doing, when you get the read only message.

It is hard to be sure with so little data, but if this is supposed to be a shared database and someone else has it open for Exclusive access, all subsequent connections will be Read Only until the exclusive user drops out.
