Exporting datasheet to word, how is this possible using vb. Actually, I do have a thread in Form forum. But, I think not a lot of people visit that place. Anyways, I have created bookmarked and used datavariable to export the data (by ansentry's help). But the only thing that it exports is just one selection on that datasheet, instead of all the chosen rows.

I am exhausted now after searching everywhere, and not finding a clue. How to resolve that situation. If there is an example that I can use, that would be gr8.

Thanks In Adv.

I export to a "rtf" file with

DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "rptWorkingDetail_C", acFormatRTF, sFolderAndFile, chkOpenRTFXLS

This file can be inserted into or opened with Word or WordPerfect.

There's also a method to export and immediately open the exported file with Word.

I recommend the "common dialog" to select the path and folder being exported to.

Let me know if you need more help. This is Saturday, so I'm taking off . . .

:) Yes, I do still need help, you'd have to go in detail a bit. Or, I can give you my database to give you an idea of what I am trying to achieve.

Question, would it be really hard to send it to Word directly?,

The purpose behind the word file is that, its a legal document and I don't want to loose the formating of it. I know that, if I create a table in word and export the datasheet, it should work. But my problem is that I am not good at coding. I am still on the begginer stage on that; although, I have learnt a lot, but you'd have to bear me. Sorry

And Thanks a lot :)
