date format

I need the all of my dates to be entered in the format . dd/mm/yyyy, and be displayed in Medium date format. However whenever i set the date format to Medium i can only enter the day in mm-dd-yyyy format. Is it possible to change this. (I have tried to use an input mask of dd-mm-yyyy but it fails).
I need 03/12/2000 = 03-Dec-2000, rather than 03/12/2000 = 12-Mar-2000.

What are your regional settings in windows set to?

Previous post is correct. You'll need to change the region settings in Windows to get Access to display British dates. Had the same problems with both dates and times. Needed British dates and a 24 hour clock. Changed them both and all is well
