I am trying to produce a yearly report to show all the holidays people have taken.
I design the report to show thew person name then group by month and show all holidays for that month.
i.e
Joe Bloggs
December
1/12/02 to 2/12/02
12/12/02 to 14/12/02

When I preview the report the months are wrong, it shows December first, it is listing by the first letter.

If I change my query to month: Format([Start date],"mm")
it then showsw the correct number, but I want it to show by month

Make the month field in tables a combo box listing all the months. Then build a query and set the criteria to run based on data input (month). Leave the rest as you have it. This will run the query based on the month and you can then set the fields you need in your report. The report control source needs to be set to that select query you built so make sure all the fileds you need in your report are imported into the query.

Add an unbound textbox to your report, set the control source to the field you have defined as Format([StartDate],"mm"), just set the format of the control to mmmm
