I am brand new at building a Database, so everything I have done I have been self taught using as many resources on the internet as I could.

I have built a Database and wanted to get some feedback on the layout, and see if there is anything that can be improved upon for robustness and error protection.

So the goal of this DB is to track the testing of various experimental vehicles. Each step or "testPurpose" and "testStatus" is logged, and a new record is formed everytime another "testPhase" begins as well as changes in the "testStatus", ie intrumentation, testing, etc. The overall goal is to be able to track how long different steps in the testing process take as well as to determine areas where we can improve efficiencies.

I have attached a picture of the DB relations window, in hopes that i could get some feedback.

Thank you very much for all the help.

Maybe your DB is working for now.
But, as far as I can see in the future, will be very hard (if not impossible) to maintain it.
That because you have as primary key a various type of fields.
If something should be changed will be very hard to do.

So (note that is only my opinion):
Create for each table the ID field of type AutoNumber
Make this field the primary key.

BTW: Name the ID fields like this: ID_TableName .

Remain in standby for better advices from more skilled guys than me.

Good luck !
