Dbl Click action requires user to double click record selector?

Can someone tell me how to change the Dbl Click action or event so that it triggers when the user double clicks the RECORD on a subform that is in Datasheet view? I have been able to get the event to trigger when the user double clicks the record SELECTOR, but that seems like an extra step I'd rather not require the user to take.
