I am trying to use the DCount function to count how many "yes" answers were selected from one of my forms.

The user selects if a job has been completed (combo box) and that gets stored in a table (table name: "ECM Details"; field name: "Has measure been selected"). i am now generating a report and would like to have a count of how many jobs have been selected. I have tried everything with this Dcount function and it still doesn't want to work. Can anyone help?

the thread that you linked me to does not help. I am trying to count how many 'yes' and 'no' answer are in a report, not change them to 0 or 1. I just cannot seem to figure out the DCount statement; I don't know why

Dude that thread does tell you how to do it but of course just like anything else in access it was one of many. Just to explain on yes/no fields in access a yes = -1 and a no = 0. In that thread it converted the values of the yes no to positive numbers and sumed them. In effect giving you a count becuase suming up 1 55 times will give you 55. BTW don't start two threads just repost to your original to bring it back to the top.
