1) When XP users open the database it gives them some security warning because of the macros. Does anyone know how to fix that?

2) When merging w/word it works great for me but on some machines, it simply opens word and nothing happens.

YIPES!

Thanks! I'll see what I can find out!!!!

How to I check the references for the word file?

How to I check the references for the word file?

A reference called:

Microsoft Word Objects x.x

I am a total newbie to access and I have no idea how to check that. Where do I go? I checked the link in the onclick event and it is correct but it is linked to a word file on the network.

It is f:\DatabaseFiles\GATXInspectionform.doc

Should it have the server specified instead? Like

\Dell1400\Company\DatabaseFiles\GATXInspectionform.doc

Or are you talking about something different I need to check for?

In a module, goto Tools -> References

all the references are listed there.

Got it....it has

VB for Applications
MS Access 10.0 Object
OLE Auto
ActiveX Data
Word 10.0 Object
and
Office 10.0 Object

These are on my PC, the one that works fine.

I went to one of the machines with the problems and it said MISSING: Word 10.0 Object Library.

How do I fix that?

I checked it on another pc and the reference was there but it said Microsoft Word 11.0....I'm assuming we all need the same one.

Where do I get them & install them?

I didn't specify anything...at least not knowingly. Does it do that automatically?

It is automatic in that when you check the boxes for your references, the only boxes you can check already have versions built in.
