Saw a docu on Sky tv last night about the prothecies of the Mayans, Nostrodamus, and the Egyptions about the end of the world in December 21 2012, should I be worried...:eek:

Made fascinating viewing, it suggested a cataclysmic event on this date when the sun aligns itself in the Age of Aquarius with the centre of the Galaxy, either a Global Extinction Event or the dawn of a new age for Man, either way a massive change is predicted...

I suppose my first question is, should I bother paying all my debtors... :p

Should I leave my wife and get a young teen mistress for the next 3 years...:p

Should I tell my boss where to stick it.. and bum around europe...:p



Please some sound advise is needed...
 
Bull hockey, nothing will happen and 22 dec will come around just like normal.

I hope the event is as spectacular and breathtaking as the film 2012, might get some good photo opportunities!
 
I am guessing it will be as eventfull as the y2K dissaster and the cataclysm following the solar eclips
 
I am worried - by the way it looks we might have an ample numbers of active volcanoes but I have fears over the dwindling supply of sacrificial virgins :eek:

You have to pay a premium for that kind of thing. 10 Dollars a year over the age of 16 till the trend reverses at age 27. And 10 months in jail for every year below the age of 16.

Hows that? The world has ceased to exist atleast once every 10 years, if not 5 years.
All have been 'false' and even if there would be some cataclysmic thing, i.e. the sun blow up or what ever space alien come to conquer us, the earth swallows us all in one go... you make em up...

What can we do about it? Nothing thats what, so why worry about it?

We could move solar system, show them to mars or fight them off, and move to venus for you 3 examples.

Where theres a will theres a way. You seem resigned to you fate.
 
Seriously guys, what are your views on the threat, as by three seperate occasions seperated by thousands of years have predicted this date as being a time of climatic change...

Is it a load of Poppycock... or just could there be something in it...

I have always been a little sceptical of Nostrodamuses prophetic verses as they are so cryptic that the reader could interpret them in many different ways..
 
I think it's a load of old nonsense, but I'm worried. Worried because there are idiots out there who believe it. Who knows what kind of stupid things they might do?

Show them to Mars, right...
Move solar system, fly in what spaceship that would be designed inside of 2 years, build, take off and hold 6 billion people + food and water for 500+? year flight?

As for moving to venus, well... if the sun were to explode that would help little, still if the earth were to go boom... maybe that would help. All we need now is a space ship and a livable atmosphere on Venus... so if you can have the ship build and the planet "teraformed"?

OK so now come up with viable solutions? I.e. Dispose of every possible source of cataclysm like,
- shoot all XBombs to space
- destroy all weaponry
- abolish all religions
- etc

Have you not seen Battlestar Galactica? So a viable craft was designed in the 70s. That gives 30 plus years to build it.

I'll be getting aboard. If you dont feel the need to bother thats up to you.
 
Battlestar Galactica?? WOW... yeah sure... DS9, Enterprise, Babylon, while we are at it Stargate, or why not use a time machine like in "back to the future" ??
Or perhaps one as per the invention of Prof. Barabas??

OK So lets assume Galatica actually has some sort of design to it... given international standings, how are we going to have one central military ship to "head" our fleet of ships to house all people? Sure the Hypotheses is nice, but it aint gonna work.

I even doubt a scenario like "armageddon" where an astroid is inbound to destroy earth and we blow it up would be "possible" to pull off. Forget about the (im)possible things of landing on something that going a million miles per hour
Forget about getting enough explosives ...
Forget about getting there and stuff.... Just getting politics lined up and nations working together etc.... is going to prove the hurdle which will delay us "long enough" to watch it crash into the next solar system.

I suppose its already been built, as I said they had the ideas in the 70s - and from what I remember those on Galactica mostly had American accents, and they are the leaders in space travel. So the US likely has it built already.

I dont suppose they will be too bothered if other nations jon them or not- certainly they are not going to watse their time trying to persude reluctant nations.

Hopefully the US will let British citizens aboard, if only to give the dentists something to do.
