decimal places

I am running a query where I total up Numbers. I have clicked on the fields to assign the properties as general no. with 2 places, however the result returns with more that 2 decimal places. what should I be doing to ammend this?

The following is from the access help screen for the decimal places property that you set:

"Note The DecimalPlaces property setting has no effect if the Format property is blank or is set to General Number"

You said you had the format set to General Number, to get the results you want, try standard or fixed in the format property setting.
