Delete check box in excel 2007 (1 Viewer)

I want to delete check boxes from my excel document. The Developer ribbon is there and I see how to add them... but I do not want them ... How to make them disappear ????

You must go into the design view. Click on the protractor thingy in the toolbar for the forms. Select the checkbox and hit delete.
