Details section alters of own accord

Hi I
Have a report which is an Invoice
I have a details section for the invoice orders
and i have a report footer for the total sum ect
the idear being if the invoice is more than two pages long the report footer will always be in the correct place to display the total ect

The problem is the details section grows and shrinks on its own .If i have 2 lines in the invoice the report footer moves up the page if i have 7 lines it bumps the report footer on to the next page even though there is more room in the details section .
Igo into design view and the design looks good ,i go into print preview and it looks good .but when i print it i get these problems .Is there away to stop this happening

try using the page footer rather than report footer - you may also want to use the page header rather than the report header as well - although you didn't mention you were using it
