detecting if current record is new record

I am coming back to designing Access databases after a 3 year break. So I am very rusty.

I need to be able to detect if the current record is a new record. I seam to recall this was very easy with a one line statement in the onCurrent event. But I just can't remember it and I am struggling to find out how.
