Disabling autoformating of controls

Hi!
I have a problem with formating controls in a form. As a example, I inserted a tree view control and adobe reader control. After I've resized them manually in a design form, I switch into form view and they both resize automatically to their own size (don't know where it gets from).
In the result, I can't obtain the required width and height. How can I make them resizable to my own preference?

I don't get you. I just want to be able to change the dimensions of a tree control and adobe pdf control so that I can change width and height in my own way and not having them resized automatically when in form view. Is this what am I to explain?

I was addressing your initial problem above... It appears there is more to it than manually resizing the control. Would you like to offer a more detailed explanation?

There are two controls in my form- treeview control and adobe pdf reader. I can easiliy modyfy their dimensions in design form by a mouse. When I have set my required width and height of the control, I switch info form view again to work with them but they resize automatically to the smaller size (or any size that it is defined by I don't know what) In the result I can't obtain the same dimensions of those two controls in form view as in design form. Get it?

To clarify my earlier question:-

I asked how did you do that?

Please explain the process...

To get you started you might say something like:-
In the Design ribbon I selected "Insert Active X control" in the "Controls" section.

This popped up a Dialog box called "Insert Active X Control" i went down the list of controls and I selected "XXXX"

Please fill in name of control...

Ah! I see your version of MS Access has the Tree View control on the Control Menu. I have a different version of MS Access where the tree view control is a separate active X control, hence the confusion.

In that case I suggest you open the Tree View controls property sheet and post the information from the property sheet here.

There's really no call for that tone wojtasik6. Uncle Gizmo is trying to help you here without asking for any form of payment for his time. If you feel irritated in any way, there other polite ways to put that across.

You're relatively new on this forum so exercise some patience!

That said, can we please see the Property Sheet of the Tree View control. Make sure it's got all the properties visible so if it means taking two screenshots (so that the properties are legible) please do so.

2. In what format is your database, .MDB or .ACCDB?
3. What version of the Tree View control are you using?

My access is 2010 version and files in ACCDB.
Tree control is 6.0
I enclosed the print screen from tree view control property sheet. Even If I double click on the control in design view, it resizes to the dimensions shown in the jpg. If I add another tree view control it gets other default dimensions and is e.g very narrow than. Don't get it.

Ok, can you show us what happens when you open the form? A screenshot of the tree in design view and in form view.

The screenshot you sent only shows the tree in design view.

In the view form, the tree opens in the size like it is shown in form/design view. Only in design form (the size above) is how I want it to be.

Hmm, I just tested this and am not experiencing the same issue, so let's try this, what happens if you set the size in the Properties window of the control?
