Disappearing database window

I have a user who needs access to the database window - tables etc. For some reason, every couple of days the database window will not appear. She clicks on the database window and nothing happens, except that the toolbar with the database window icon goes away. I have not been able to fix this, except to give her a new copy of the front end. (We have a split database).

Small typo - I should have said that she clicks on the database window ICON on the toolbar, and no database window appears.
