Whenever I double click in one of the cells in my pivot table to display the source data behind the number it pulls up a new sheet with all of the data for the column. Example: There are 7000 total records showing shipment information. One of my columns in the Data sheet shows the month (which is my column header in the pivot table). In the pivot table I break down how many of my shimpments delivered ontime and how many were late. If there are 8 shipments out of 100 were late in May, I would expect that when I double click the 8 that only 8 records show in the source data, but I'm getting 100 shipments in the source data. Is there a way to fix this? Google searches have proven to be useless in solving this mystery.

I'm working in Office 2003.

I haven't worked with pivot tables But surely the source is the 100 the 8 is a result of the pivot table summarisation.
