I got a special input device which comes with its .dll and .ocx files. I would like to access the device in the Access application. Would you please teach me how to integrate? Give me procedure and some example on linking the new dll or ocx files in VBA. Thanks

If the libraries are on your file then you should be able to "check" the reference in order to use it.

To open a reference, open a module, and select: Tools -> References

Find your library.

In code you should be able to access it.

i.e.

Dim x As New MyLibrary

Typing x. will give you any properties, methids, and functions that it has in the Intellisense dropdown.

DLL & OCX

Thanks a lot! I got the concept and it is working now.

Meanwhile, I would like to ask how can I delete some library .dll from my MS Access System. It is because I register duplicate DLL. (same DLL but different location). I discover it under tools/preference inside the VBA module. However, I can not unregister it under tools/activeX control under MS Access menu because that DLL does not show up under tools/activeX control windows.

Sorry, tying mistakes :

Tools/Preference

change to
Tools/Reference
