I am looking to create a document management database. For example we send letters to regulators all the time. I want to develop a document management database where we can keep a history of these correspondence and provide a link to a scanned document. The access database and the scanned documents will reside on a LAN share. I have 2 questions:
1. Is it possible to have a document upload feature on an Access forum? Kind of like what you see on some web sites that allow you to upload documents. I would want to keep them all in the same place obviously. If so, how can I do this?
2. If #1 is possible, is there a way to automaticaly give the document the next number in a sequence? If so, how?
3. Is there a working prototype similar to this that someone can point me to so I could just modify to meet my specific needs?
